The first East Midlands eBay Business Seller Meetup was a great success! Held at the Park Farmhouse Hotel next to Donington Park Racing Circuit.
I’ve been lucky enough to get the opportunity to be a co host with Malc Russell of Travelruss GB stamps . Malc addressed the full house with a welcome and introductions to the room.
Matt Potter, Senior Manager Regulatory and Partnerships at eBay gave a talk on latest at eBay regarding changes in regulations on eBay old and new. This was followed by a very interesting Q&A with the room.
Matt Giles – The Flipping Reseller gave a very interesting seller story on his eBay selling career at Preloved Tech Shop. I’ve also been following his fascinating YouTube series on How to Grow an eBay Business From Scratch.
We had a networking lunch and a look at a display of items attendees sell in their shops. A good mix of different products with a print of their shop fronts for anyone who wanted to see more.
Next came yours truly, the eBayAnorak. I chatted about the workings of eBay’s Best Match Search and howTrust is a major part of your eBay visibilty.
At the next meetup I’ll follow up with the Relevance part of best match, one of the biggest most important parts that covers the main parts of the listing. Sign up for second one here don’t miss it!
All this followed by round table discussions on varius related topics. The 3 speakers rotated around the workshop tables.
And that was all in 3 hours!
What Next?
The second East Midlands Meetup will take place in the Heart of the National Forest at Conkers in Moira DE12 6GA. Conkers was built on the site of Rawdon Colliery in Moira that closed in 1990.
The event is 12 to 3.30pm on June 19th. We’re open for coffee and networking from 11.30am. It’s lead by and for eBay Business Sellers and funded by eBay.
The event is free, lunch and refreshments included and plenty of free parking.
